GAME: ROUND UP
Our first year as W.A.S.A.B.I.. For Roundup, we developed two ‘bots and were extremely competitive by iterating on a doughnut pickup mechanism that had a pole with belts that picked up the doughnuts through the middle. Each ‘bot had a holonomic chassis that was quick around the field and, at the World Championships, made an ideal partner for the bulky, heavy-duty Green Eggs robot. We ran around the field scoring on the static goals while Green Eggs, filled the moveable goals and put them under the pyramid where they couldn’t be de-scored. Both W.A.S.A.B.I. robots made it to the Semi-finals, with 1492X in the championship alliance.
